Automatic horizontal balancing machine, with oscillating plate, for balancing drums for optical readers. The machine is equipped with automatic angle positioning of the rotor and with two automatic horizontal axis drilling units. A safety guard totally segregates the machine. A horizontally sliding front door allows a comfortable loading and unloading of pieces.
