Grinding Wheels
EBS has manufactured test islands for grinding wheels inserted in robotic production lines. This picture shows a cell composed of a machine for measuring and compensating the unbalance automatically by liquid injection, and a speed testing machine, used for overspeed test of the wheel, in order to verify that it doesn’t explodes. Equipped with a special system to detect the profile shape errors of the wheels using laser sensors, such as the eccentricity of the outer diameter and axial run-out errors of the faces. A robot with three controlled axes loads and unloads the components and transfers them from one machine to the other.
